Over the weekend of the 16th and 17th June (last weekend) four people from Emmaus Bristol participated in the Paris “Salon” Sale. Emmaus Communities from all over Europe gather together in the Paris Expo exhibition site to sell a wide range of secondhand items such as furniture, bikes, electrical goods, clothes and bric a brac. All the proceeds from the day(Sunday) goes to international projects to relieve poverty and suffering. Each year we raise over 200,000 Euro. This year nearly 40 people went from Britain and raised over 6300 Euros just from our stalls. Below you can catch what the event looks like through our two wobblecams…………
Meet some of the team

Watch the Stampede as people charge towards the bargains
The Sale opens at 9.30 on Sunday and people queue for miles to get in and get the bargains. Once the doors are open there is a crowd surge which has to be experienced – check out the stampede!!!!
