Volunteer Week celebrations

1-7 June is Volunteer Week, and we want to take the opportunity to thank all our volunteers, who work so hard to help us run our houses and enterprises. Volunteers help us with all aspects of running our charity – from picking up collections, to supporting our finances and helping us to run our shops. Some roles a very public and some less so but all are essential to help us do what we do.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to every volunteer who contributes to the vital work we do at Emmaus Bristol. During Volunteers’ Week, we’d also like to encourage anyone considering volunteering to get in touch and find out more. Volunteering is a good way to meet new people. No previous experience is needed and it’s also a great way to pick up new skills, whether you’re just starting out in work, looking for a new challenge or taking your career in a new direction.”

Dave Perry, Community Manager

Do you have 4 hours a week to spare?

Check out our volunteering opportunities, and keep an eye out for our volunteer campaign, “Give 4 hours a week to homelessness”, on Facebook and Twitter and help us share our volunteer appeal.

This campaign has been designed by another of the charity’s volunteers Ben Akers, aka marker and cardboard artist Mr Hopeful, who has donated his time and skills to create 3 brilliant shareable volunteering cartoons. Thanks Ben!
