Premises & Vehicles Coordinator

Salary scale: £22,000 – £25,000 depending on experience

Hours: Flexible within 08:00 – 18:00, Mon – Fri

Contract type: Permanent, Full time

Location: Bristol

Emmaus Bristol is a charity that actively supports people out of homelessness through the provision of accommodation, food, one-to-one support and vital work experience in a social enterprise.

We are looking for a highly motivated, practical, hands-on individual to take over from our current Premises and Vehicles Coordinator, who is moving to the countryside.

You will be a key Health & Safety person; writing risk assessments, performing routine health and safety checks, monitoring and booking health and safety training, ensuring all aspects of our buildings and vehicles are maintained to a high standard and carrying out vehicle and driver checks.  You’ll demonstrate excellent communication and IT skills and use these to write reports, analyse costs and coordinate maintenance both internally and externally.

Your day will be extremely busy and varied with much of your work taking place on site at one of our eight buildings, so a clean driving licence is essential.  You’ll be expected to get involved in a range of repairs up to your skill level, coordinate external contractors where required, always ensure works are carried out to a high standard and that the charity is getting best value for money.

The Emmaus ethos is that of active engagement and our Companions (residents) operate all of our social enterprises.  You will be working alongside Companions and volunteers, encouraging their involvement and utilising their skills and experience where relevant.
